Surprise playoff teams look to advance
vs.
#6. Warriors #3. Jorsemen
(6-7) (7-6)

AT JORSEMEN STADIUM

The Jorsemen shocked the world in 2002 as they qualified for the playoffs in their first year of existence. They finished the season with a 7-6 record and hold the #3 seed due to their division title. The Warriors had an up and down season as they are one of three teams to qualify for the playoffs for the first two seasons of the UFFA. The schedule, oddly enough, didn't make these two teams play each other in 2002 so this is their first meeting. Home teams tend to benefit more from the lack of familiarity that comes with a first meeting. But these two teams are evenly matched and should bring this one down to the wire.

Last meeting: This is their first meeting.

The Line: Jorsemen by 1

Trends: Warriors have won 3 of their last 4. The Jorsemen were just 3-4 at home. Jorsemen were 2-5 outside of the Lombardi division. Warriors were 4-3 outside of the Halas division.

Outstanding Round one matchup
vs.
#5. Stallions #4. Tattoo Crew
(7-6) (8-5)

AT SCANDOME

This could be the game of the year as two SOLID teams head into the game against each other. Both teams have tremendous backfields with the Stallions boasting Ricky Williams and Tiki Barber while the Tattoo Crew have the best young tandem in the league with Deuce McAllister and LaDainian Tomlinson in their backfield. The playoffs could be determined by two QBs who are making their first appearances in the postseason with Tom Brady at the helm for the Tattoo Crew and Steve McNair for the Stallions.

Last meeting: Stallions beat the Tattoo Crew 63-32 in week 6 at home.

The Line: Tattoo Crew by 4

Trends: Stallions have won 3 in a row. Tattoo Crew finished the regular season 5-2 at home while the Stallions were 4-3 on the road. This is the first postseason game for either franchise. Tattoo Crew was 5-2 out of Halas division.
